The Black Girl Games is the inaugural event that with the easing of the city’s COVID guidelines, we are hosting a cultural event to safely come together outdoors. The Black Girl Games is a celebration of traditional games, customs, and social events rooted in black heritage. The Games celebrate and highlight a long tradition and custom in the Black Community that if not held onto we will lose them.

The Black Girl Games consist of Double Dutch, hula hoop, hop scotch, dance battles (that will represent black people hailing from the Caribbean, Africa, Haiti, and beyond. We are everywhere!), stepping, hand clapping, hair braiding, rapping, spoken word, and MORE!
This is an Olympic-styled program where Black Girls reign! Everyone has been inside and it’s time to come out for some fresh air! We’ll end the Black Girl Games with The Black Power Music Closing! Black Power Music that touches the soul!
